One of the things you'll do after a new install is check to see if your node is registered. Registration is how the Allstar network learns about your node and thus is very important. Your node can not connect to other Allstar nodes unless it is registered. To check if your node has registered go to the all nodes list and scroll down to your node number. If it's registered the background color of the node number will be green.

If your node is registered you are ready to connect to other nodes after a short while. It takes 20 to 30 minutes for new registrations to propagate throughout the Allstar network. You should always leave your node powered on to keep your registration active.

Note: We'll be adding a "What to do if my node is not registered" to the troubleshooting section.
